Alabama's D struggled on the road vs Ole Miss and Arkansas. Both teams threw for 400 yards.

I'll agree that the pass D on those particular road games was our biggest weakness. However, do you feel Etling more resembles Kelly/Allen or Dobbs? Can Etling do in the passing game what Kelly (gun) and Allen (quick release/toughness) can do?

He's not even Trevor Knight and we saw how that worked out.

Etling is tough, see vs Auburn this year to get an idea. I don't know where to gauge him yet though, We're traditionally run heavy so seeing a QB just be in the 200's feels amazing, which is sad

His deep ball is usually overthrown but his mid range pass is $$$$$$$.

An aside, his best performance under Orgeron has been vs USM. Under O he is averaging 232 yds 64.1%

What I've seen from LSU fans is that Etling is accurate and doesn't rattle easily.

The slow release I would say is definitely a weakness.
