Explosion at gas pipeline in Helena, AL

Same area where the gas leak was at month or two ago.

Godddam it. That means gas prices in ATL will go up 30 cents a gallon. Colonial pipeline is pretty much the ONLY way gasoline gets to Atlanta. Friggin stupid to have 5 million people depending on one gas pipeline.

According to al.com, this explosion is 5 miles away from where the leak happened.
But it is on a Colonial pipeline so gas prices are probably going to spike again.

I hope the good people of Helena are ok. I used to enjoy going to their King Biscuit blues fest in the 90's.
And thank god I have 13,000 Kroger fuels points and 20% of my portfolio in energy stocks.

Yeah, the folks at Helena, AR (blues festival) are fine, the pipeline explosion however was in Helena, AL.

That makes ALOT more sense now... I was confused by the radio reports about the explosion in Helena being just a couple miles from where the September accident happenned in Alabama. I started to question my sanity for a few minutes in my car this morning.
