Some thoughts.
Geist has a right pinky injury, so is probably out for s while. That makes CVL the backup PG. He played well in that role, but was matched up against a walkon. Phillips is going to have to play 30+ minutes.
Don't expect much from Smith & Kemp, physically they aren't ready to do much.
The 5 best players there were Phillips, Walton, Barnett, Puryear & Woods.
Nikko played ok had several blocks.
Hughes didn't shoot well, but did play well after being moved from PG to SG.

I like this as a lineup, provided two of them can hit at least 33% from three.

It always is under KA. Who do you think transfers or gets kicked off the team because of lack of discipline this year?

Doubt anyone gets kicked off the team due to discipline.

Just like every year for the past 20, someone will transfer. Mizzou just needs it to be a back if the rotation player instead of a stater.

Based on a super small sample size Walton and Barnett are the guys that will either save KAs job by playing well, or assure he gets fired by not. They have by far the most potential on the roster.

And Barnett can't play until January or whenever and if Woods is a top performer...enough said. Long season ahead.

But unlike the last 20 years, will it be 3 of your 5 best players as it has been under KA.

Well if KA is still the coach next year it would mean that the top 6-7 players had pretty good seasons. So I doubt they would transfer.

If KA is not the coach, then I suppose that's possible. But would bet that the new coach would the top 5-6 returning players to stay. But who knows.
