Kiffin is an arrogant jerk. When he was the HC at UT he insulted every SEC HC (including urban meyer) except Saban (because he obviously respected him). There's no way he's leaving for anything but a HC job.

He probably wouldn't.
His next stop will be a head coach gig. He won't risk another asst job at another school and kill his career momentum.
