Blows my mind you're up Kirby's arse in year 1 for not winning enough with a freshman QB but you're just fine with Fox failing to accomplish anything of note in 8 years and showing no improvement in basic aspects of the game. Are you really happy with just not being the absolute worst in the SEC anymore?

it wasnt about not winning enough withKirby, but thats for another thread.

The two programs have completely different histories and expectations. The basketball program has been a laughing stock 80% of its history. Fox has got us out of that stigma, and we are competitive now and have won a lot of games the past 3 years. That's impressive imo.

Obviously the next step is making the tourney regularly and winning games when we get there. Is Fox the guy to do that? IDK. He fricked up this games, no doubt. But I don't think he will get fired this year or next year, because he is gonna get a shot to push the program to the next level. And I am fine with that.

People who have followed UGA basketball before Fox got here are certainly appreciative of what he's done for the program, I know I am anyway. Having a basketball program that is at least interesting to follow is nice, but now our program has evolved to the point where we need a coach whose ceiling is higher than "hopefully being a bubble team" and I don't think Fox has done anything to show that his ceiling is above that. Also, imo, gone are the days of having to be a "traditional power" in order to recruit well and elevate a program, the right coaching hire can offset not having a strong history.
