Disagree. If I were Pinkel (and it was feasibly possible) I would have said, "I repect and will support any players who feel passionately about the efforts of ConcernedStudent1950, but I also have an obligation to this university to prepare and coach a team for a game this Saturday against BYU. And we'll play the game with the remainder of our student-athletes".

It may not have been possible due to sheer numbers. But cutting off their scholarships would have been program suicide.
