What doesn't make sense is sacrificing rivalry games that are steeped in tradition so that the conference can get more garbage games like Arkansas-Vandy. Arkansas obviously has no issue throwing rivalries and tradition to the wayside... but if expanding to 12 teams and then to 14 teams means we have to throw history and tradition into the dumpster, then I think we need to go back to the original 10 teams.

Georgia has played Auburn every single year that we've fielded a team going back to 1892. Alabama and Tennessee have also enjoyed a very long rivalry. If we are going to toss those aside just to be able to see Arkansas travel to Nashville more often or to see Ole Miss face Mizzou, then we've lost sight of what is important.

Awesome job not reading the thread, moron. The new division structure under that hypothetical is below.

quote:

East:
Florida
Georgia
Kentucky
South Carolina
Tennessee
Alabama
Auburn

West:
Arkansas
LSU
Mississippi State
Ole Miss
Texas A&M
Vandy
Missouri

I accept your apology.
