If both teams play their best games Alabama wins.

The glaring difference is Alabama's defense is better. Bama will stop A&Ms ground game including limiting Trevor Knights scrambles. Alabama will harass and disrupt Knights passing game all night enough to slow it down and limit it's production by 25% to 40%. So far Bamas defensive backfield has been vulnerable thru the air. Bama has the athletes to do a better job there but I'm not counting on it for this prediction. A&M won't stop Alabamas offense. If the game turns into a track meet Bama is ready for it and will outscore A&M. Bama can score as fast as any team in college football. The only difference I see this year at A&M is more consistent QB play and a better running game. Despite the media pimping them I don't see any defensive improvements. Alabama has homefield advantage. That's worth a lot versus A&M because they feed off their homefield atmosphere more than most teams.

I think Alabama will be favored by 8 to 10 points.

Jalen Hurts weakness so far is poor timing on long throws. He has missed sure TDs to Calvin Ridley at least 3 times with late throws. A&Ms only chance in this game is if Jalen Hurts has a bad game.

Prediction: Alabama 48 - A&M 33. I think the over/under will be around 68 or 69 so the Over is the play.

eta - Alabama is the best blocking team in college football at every offensive position. That is rarely discussed but counts for extra yards every game.

Gonna be weird seeing Bama give up a bunch of 30 point games while scoring 40 a game this year.

I say Bama 41 Aggies 34. Pick 6 to seal the game for Bama.

stopped reading here. You do know we have a better SEC road record than home, right? It was mentioned on the rant a couple three times during the off season. I think after Tennessee we have improved to 7-9 at home and 14-6 road/neutral.

Bama's ability to score on defense will get us in this one. Trevor will Trevor and Bama won't give our terrible D a chance to bail him out.

Watching A&M Saturday, I still think they have some issues on both lines, especially D-line. Part of that is probably due to Garrett not being 100%, but seemed like UT gashed them a LOT and kind of had their way on offense.

And while they've improved greatly in their running game, they still don't have someone they can rely on to get between the tackles and get 3-4 yards when they need it. Too much reliance on running outside.

That said, I think they'll keep the game close. They have the WR's to press a Bama secondary that has struggled at times this season, and they're physical on D.

Right now, I'd say Bama 41, A&M 37.
