The SEC is going to pay South Alabama and Presbyterian the buyouts (2 million is pocket change to the conference). They may be able to negotiate a lesser buyout by allowing South Alabama and Presbyterian to play each other and host the game on the SEC Network.

They are going to move the A&M/LSU game from the last Thursday to Saturday.

This makeup plan obviously hurts LSU a hell of a lot more than it does UF so LSU fans will bitch about it for eternity.

The End.

the SEC cannot force LSU to cancel an OOC game. That is not within the powers of the commissioner. And paying South Alabama's buyout is a fraction of the revenue LSU would be losing by canceling that game. Yes moving the A&M game is a start, but there are many more financial assurances that have to be made.

LSU holds all the cards... SEC can change SEC scheduling, but has no say on OOC games.

Unless of course they wanna pony up the $5-$15 million, then we can talk.
