This. Richt's teams seem to have an uncanny level of attrition for a variety of reasons.

Perhaps more importantly, how good are the guys who stayed? Peter thinks that doesn't matter.

I don't know to be honest. If you recall, I have always been rather vocal that our "team" and "University" rules have been more aggressive than our peers which lead to what appeared to be unecessary attrition and suspensions. I was hoping that would change with Kirbs. Not sure we can rule on that yet. I can't imagine it will be worse. Not only did that affect our attrition rate, but it was used against us in recruiting. It may have helped with some whose parents were sold on it, but I think it was a net loss.

My point was that the 2013 class was being used as an excuse for any of Kirbs coaching/team ills. While isolated, it looks bad... When side by side by the national champs, a little more perspective is given to the natural attrition and miss rate of recruits. Bamas class had more successful 4'year players, but it was not a windfall as evidenced by the data.

..and our overall talent is significantly better than Nicholls State, yet they were coached up pretty well and made it a game. This happens all the time at all levels of sports. I don't understand why a few here seem to not be able to grasp this concept.
