Funny how LSU didn't try to get out of contracts with USC, FSU or Notre Dame around the same time frames.
It's also funny how you call getting to the end of a ten-year contract (1986-1995) "cancelling the series".
Oh and here's your fee...

It is funny, because with the exception of a home-and-home with FSU in '89/'90 (which you lost both of), you literally did not play any of those three teams continuously during the span of 1986-1995.

That, my dumb friend, is an absolute fact. The '96 and '97 games were already scheduled.

From a New Orleans source.
[link=(New Orleans source)]https://www.nola.com/lsu/index.ssf/2011/01/lsu_texas_am_to_rekindle_rich.html[/link]:
"Texas A&M contributed to the LSU woes in that stretch. LSU won the 1990 meeting, but the Aggies took the next five, which also were the last five games between the schools before LSU cancelled the series with two games remaining after the 1995 game in College Station."
