Why? Most people thought he was going to be fired last season. Why isn't the optic that LSU will give you the benefit of the doubt and give you another off season to make necessary changes?

People (and I'm talking about coaches) were making comments after the Wisconsin loss that LSU has the athletes to be a national contender and that Les Miles' offense is holding them back.

Coaches understand what is going on. They aren't oblivious to the factors that played into Les Miles' firing. The media likes to drum up shite like that because it creates controversy.
