Les wouldn't fire Cam. They were too good of friends.
As far as the way things were handled last year, it really was messy. I believe the tigers wanted to fire Miles, but were stopped by the school's president and the Governor for political reasons. The state was right in the middle of cutting funding to higher education. So paying a 12 million dollar buyout at the same time didn't look good. So they had to back peddle and retain Miles, but told him that he must change the offense. LSU is currently ranked 112th in total yards, 119th in passing yards, and 110th in ppg.
With the talent LSU has, those numbers should be higher.
