I don't care what you think about the LSU team, their defense is pretty stout and they have good DBs. Simple as hell to pass against that in the red zone when they know its coming, right?

As much as I'd like to attribute our red zone woes to their defense, we have sucked in the redzone for two years now. I know SW is our QB but we have to figure out ways to get him the ball and make him effective when the field is condensed. I don't know that rolling right is the trick.

This is what it all boils down to and we know it. Gus's O is too simple, from everything from his route trees, to the blocking schemes, to the limited number of plays. You take the artificial complexity of the RPOs away and it's an uber talented high school offense. But it wasn't always that way. All those plays used to be masked in misdirection and shifts back in the Chris Todd and Tulsa days. It's just too easy for defenses to gameplan against nowadays and until Gus changes that they're gonna continue to run into brick walls every play. It really could look worse if we didn't have athletes like Kerryon, Kyle Davis, and Kam Pettway making it look good every now and then.
