No RC, I implied that because we are a bigger program, in a bigger conference, and a big target for a school they actively prop up, this fell onto ESPN's radar.

If we were UTEP, LaTech, Iowa State, Louisville, on and on, ESPN would have never cared about a tragic story involving a mentally ill person that played a little, but never accomplished anything in college football years into his past.

Well I very much disagree with you there.

I think any FBS school that had a promising freshman go AWOL and reemerge years later as a murderer who is hearing voices would receive this kind of coverage b/c it's something that goes beyond football.

Hell, you named Louisville as a school that would be small time enough that this would be ignored. You really think if the same situation happened an ACC school w/a Heisman candidate this wouldn't have been written? Really? C'mon son!

C'mon, man. How many mentally ill former players from UTEP, LaTech, Iowa State, or Louisville have murdered someone with a machete?
