Which is what I said in the OP.

BUT I do believe sometimes there is a game that exposes a program for what it is. A game where after that game the program isn't the same as it was before that game, either because the program lost faith in itself or we lose faith in the program.

Here is a really obvious example I was avoiding for obvious reasons but maybe it will help you understand: Texas vs Bama in the title game.

After that game Mack Brown's program was done for. They had a losing season the next year and he never got back to ten wins. That one game fricked up Mack so bad he never got his mojo back. Losing to Iowa St is what got Mack actually fired, but Bama killed what his program was.

Those are the types of games I am talking about.
