True, or he could have just thrown it to the wide open TE standing in the endzone.

As I've said, I think his passing needs improvement. It's hard to nitpick TOO much on that particular play, but at this point, he hasn't done a great job of making accurate passes downfield. Sure, if the TE hadn't broken off his route and stopped, he might have caught the ball. But, in that situation, a veteran QB would have tossed him a softball.
