I never gamble...in fact, when I texted my friend, he wanted to know "who my insider was from Vegas??! Cause you never bet!"
Giving Ole miss 11 points at home, with Sr. QB and playing against a true freshman on the road in his first SEC game, I just don't think they win....much less cover.
I think Bama's def is legit. However, I don't think them and/or the special teams will continue to score. And I think the QB turns it over twice.
Don't let me down Rebel/Bears!
Sometimes it better to be lucky boys!
I said win or lose, I would come back and post. The game was thrilling already, but with money on the line, I have never had so many highs and lows in my life. I was an emotionally drained by the time it was over!

That is probably a lock with 11 points. Alabama may lose this game straight up!

If Ole Miss can stop the run, it's not at all outside the realm of possibility that Bama's true freshman QB throws a pick or two. OM will need to force turnovers and get good special teams play to have a chance to win because that defense is filthy.

Yea, he said it started out at -8 Bama, but everyone dumped money on bama and it moved to 11. I don't touch it with 8... But 11 is a lot.

I never gamble, and if I do, I make a friendly side bet with a friend for like $20 or something. I am just that confident on that 11 point spread.

ole miss oline vs bama dline will be the story of the game. bama may not cover, but they'll win.

It all depends on how good Ole Miss DLine is.

Don't they have an RS freshman QB to insert if necessary?
11 points sounds pretty good. But I've long since learned -- not the hard way, since I never bet against Saban -- the Bama is capable of blowing out good teams to a degree that the talent differential shouldn't have allowed. Does anybody really thing Bama was 46 points better than USC? Or whatever humiliating number of points they beat Michigan State by last year? I'd just never feel safe betting Bama won't absolutely crush a good team in any given game. They just have the potential (and conditioning) to reach that gear in the second half that allows them tear their opponent apart.

Kelly is reckless and that Defense is the best I've seen since Bama/LSU '11

I do agree with about USC. But I watched that game from start to finish.
2 reasons why I think this is different. Ole Miss will not turn it over as many times as USC....not to mention the muffed punt.
2nd, I don't think Bama will wear down Ole miss Dline like they did to USC in the 2nd half. I think it will be close. That def is insane though. If they score a few times, I am screwed.ha

You might be. The similarities between OM and USC are actually fairly significant. Both have a strong layer of top-tier talent with a significant drop-off beneath it, especially now that some of the most acclaimed OM names have left for the draft. Kelly can't win by himself and if the d-line starts getting overwhelmed because of Bama's depth, it could get ugly quickly.
But, then, I'm not going to bet on the game either way, so my take has no repercussions for me if I'm wrong.
Edit: And the FSU loss might be really instructive. With a few exceptions, because there are always going to be the occasional exceptions that prove the rule, Bama under Saban has been a very strong second half team.

Don't blame you. I just hope we can keep it close. We have no quarterback, no depth on defense and our staff is overrated. Plus let's face it, Mississippi owns us. I would drop 200 bucks on them too but my sister won't give me any money. Problems....
