BBB OT tax question

Posted by Abikaasa_Posti_Teel on 7/3/25 at 6:35 pm
This is probably a little early on to ask, but will the no tax on OT start once bill is signed, or Jan1st of 2025?
I didn't know if they could grandfather the whole year since it will be done as a tax deduction and not on payroll.
Just curious. I worked a ton of OT at the beginning of the year, so hoping for January.??

LSU Pensacola Bar

Posted by Abikaasa_Posti_Teel on 6/25/25 at 5:27 pm
I remember there used to be a thread will all the LSU bars in different cities.
Can someone link it for me?
Will be in Pensacola for the Alabama game for the Blue Angels show. Want to watch it with other Tiger fans.
Thanks
And that is why Donaldsonville suffered so much economic development compared to the east side of the river and Thibodaux.
They wanted to build Nicholls St. In Donaldsonville....farmers wouldn't sell. So the city becomes poverty stricken, while cities and area's around it flourished.
But I do get your point. I am from Donaldsonville. Live in Prairieville like many others from there. These developments are the only thing that can bring that city up from where it is. The farmers have died off....and the kids don't want to farm, so they are selling the land. This will benefit the area long term for sure.

Exactly! ....my thoughts as well.
I wonder if his Chase Dardar is related to him?
Played baseball for a year at Delgado with Chase. I remember he was from the area. I believe he came to LSU for a year under Smoke, but I could be wrong. Last I heard he was selling insurance for like State Farm or something.
Went the Belgium last year for work. Spent a night in Brussels to see the city. After 1 day, I took the tram to Ghent (where my job was), and stayed there. Ghent was awesome! Brussels is garbage. It's Def been taken over.
No, but our govt took out the sitting Pres and installed Z as Pres. so I guess we started it in reality.
My wife is Estonian....hense my name here on Tigerdroppings.
We talked about it a lot when she was pregnant with our first kid.
The closest thing we have here to it is Montessori schools. (Which both our little ones are in.) They also don't start school till like 6/7 years old. However, when they start, you are there to learn. We have wayyy more holidays/days off than them. And they don't do all these "fun days" such as dress up as old people, ECT... She said early education for young ones are mostly about experience. They do a lot outside and let kids get out.
Anddd....let's be honest, culture and demographics.
I was blown away the first time we went and I saw a 5/6 year old kid get on the bus, public transportation, by herself pay, sit down, and get to where sh had to go in Tallinn. It was a 10 min ride with multiple stops. I still think about. No worries of kidnapping, or anything.
Every time we fly back into NOLA after visiting, I want to cry as we land.
I love my home state, but when you go to a place like Tallinn and see what the world could be like, it hurts to come home.
Obviously yes on number 2.....what about the others?
Thanks.

Baseball excused absence

Can someone post a picture or link to Jay John'sons excused absence?
Going to turn it in to my kids school tomorrow and take them out
Thanks!
Donaldsonville. They wanted to build Nichols State there, but sugar cane farmers refused to sell land.
I know it's hard to believe, but so many massive companies wanted to come in to Dville for decades, but the sugar cane mafia families would never sell. So the Easter side of Ascension exploded....and left the West in the dust. Now these people are dying off, they have sold. But it's too late. Damage was done.

Louisiana tax law

I know they said they were going to triple the home mortgage deduction. Is that for 2024 taxes, or 2025 (next year)?
Thanks
Any perks to being an L-club member for the spring game?
Just curious.
Wasn't there something in there for making homeowners deduction x2 or x3?
I thought I read that somewhere.....or did it get axed out?
