Makes sense to me. Defend your gap against the run b4 you rush the passer. That's always been this D's weakness, especially when we go up against very good teams. I like it a lot more than just turn them lose and hopefully we are faster and strong enough to get there.
So far I like errthing this staff is trying to do. It's not going to be easy changing an entire culture, but I think they get there. They are thinking long term. They don't want to get to championship games, they want to win championship games.
