That might be true if he'd made a single throw yet where it looked like he was laboring to get it out there. His underthrows haven't come on throws when he's really tried to gun it out there.

I would think the two passes he got PI calls on against NC would be some he would try to lay out there. In both cases the receivers had a step or two on the defenders.

I can chalk those up to nerves....or throwing off his back foot. That could be the problem A mechanics deal. I didn't come on here trying to start an argument. I was just trying to see if anybody else felt the same as I did. Most do not. That's fine. Like I said....not trying to start trouble or an argument. You guys are probably right.

Lambert does have the necessary arm talent by the way. He just plays scared.

Something we both agree on 100%. His biggest problem is he plays scared. I'm not sure if it's because the coaches tell him to protect the ball at all costs, or what the problem is....but put a little pressure on him and he panics.

This is on DawgNation today from the Elite 11 QB coach.

quote:

“I think Jacob Eason has as strong an arm as any kid I’ve ever seen at the high school level,” Avery said. “You will see that translate very well to his college game with a vertical passing attack. You go to see him show that off with his first showing at the University of Georgia.”

Avery stated Eason’s arm already compares to all the top college guys. More velocity. More energy. For example, he places Eason’s arm strength higher than Notre Dame star DeShone Kizer. He felt when Kizer comes out for the draft that NFL scouts will say he wields a “big arm,” but he felt Eason’s arm was already stronger than that.
