Why should LSU fire Les?

yep he sure has. However at one time he was able to win with this coaching style. Well competition has caught on to what he is doing or just caught up to the talent of his teams. So now it is time to make a change to the strategy (i.e. Nick Saban, Bob Stoops). Les seems completely uninterested in even opening a dialogue that his offense is no longer effective the way it is currently being run.
He needs to focus his undivided attention on that oline, get a consultant/analyst in to work with Cameron on the offense and then let his OC do his damn job.
That oline needs attention pronto if there is any chance of the offense being successful.

He needs to just fire Cam and let Craig call plays this season.

Nick Saban was not 4-0 against Bama.

They'll end up like post-Fulmer Tennessee. They'll swing and miss on Herman, hire Kiffin, he will bolt, and then they hire La Tech's shitty coach because nobody else wants to go there.

or maybe LSU lucks into an up and coming HS coach

My opinion. Les's biggest failing is letting his players get overconfident, they don't consistently play hard because they don't respect their opponents enough.

All of LSU's goals are still attainable. I don't think they are as bad as they played this weekend.
Not with Brandon Harris at QB. Stack the box, make Fournette run side to side, use the sidelines as the 12th defender, make sure your FS stays over the top to get overthrown balls.
Am I missing anything on the defensive game plan for opponents? You see a team do something different to slow LSU's offense last season?
Just think, LSU had all off-season to further develop timing, rhythm and confidence between QBs and receivers. Coaches have gone back and re-watched film to see how games have been lost and what schemes were utilized.
LSU was opening up the brand new season as one of the marque games and they showed zero ability to effectively expand the offense and allow Fournette to have the type of game he needed.
It took a pick 6 to finally get on the scoreboard. Defense can't hold up if Harris has em going 3 & out all game.

LSU is like the kid who yells at his mom because she forgot to cut the crust of his ham sandwich. Then she finally drops him off at an orphanage and he starts to cry.

They shouldn't. He's done so much for that school and community. They should see if he can turn it around and maybe even give him one more year

Fan of a team who benefits from Les being at LSU

He's never been anything special but they lucked up in 07 & the NCAA had to give them a championship (despite a 2 loss season). It's great for other fans but you have to understand the frustration coming from LSU because they'll obviously never win a legit championship with him.
I hope they get a top notch coach because if they do they're the only hope to end Bama's dominance.

He's been the same coach the entire time at LSU. I thought they were okay with his average coaching skills because of all that talent.
There is a LOT of truth in what you write here.

I mean honestly, what has Les showed us as a coach that just wows you? He can recruit but there's so much talent in LA it kind of recruits itself. If LSU had Saban they might win some cham... Oh wait

I've been very amused since Saturday. You see, I wondered how many years it would take for the LSU fans to realize that Miles has been straight stealing their 4.5 million a year whilst pretending to be a football coach.
It's one of the longest scams that I've ever seen any con man pull off!

I see what you're talking about, and from your history you're likely trolling. LSU fans have known for a long time the ineptness of Miles. The "Mad Hatter" nickname does not convey intellectualness or strategics. The problem is that his teams have done just enough to temper any grumblings or disdain. Just look at last November's national press themes as an example.
However, and fortunately, the defense and special teams are no longer camouflaging his ineptness, and the final results are finally reflecting, with accuracy, his abilities, or lack there of, as a head coach.
So don't talk shite about our fans, mother fricker. Anybody with a pulse has always had reservations. But unfortunately the pieces have not added up to support a change... until now.
Thanks for your concern.

Play the rest of the season with an interim coach, waste the last year of an all-world RB, and pray that someone like Tom Herman would want to come into what is essentially a rebuild after a lost season?
Yes. And let's do this before Saturday. It could not be worse than feeding Fournet and Guice to stacked defenses to feed the defense's momentum and confidence or strapping Harris so tight he is afraid to run or throw. It is a snafu, fubar clusterfrick which needs radical life saving surgery. Miles Cameron must go. Let the interims and the players do their best unfettered by a 1950 offensive mindset. IMO
