Not worried at all. Defense played great and offense is completely different when they let Dobbs run. Robertson, Coleman, and Wiseman are the same three that held their own during last year's brutal schedule. They will be fine.

Florida's offense still sucks

Georgia might be a challenge, Chubb is the best back in the country.

LSU was overrated, obviously. The good teams they played last year destroyed them. Fournette is again all they have and they will run him into the ground.

Mizzou, Vandy, USCe, and Kentucky suck

A&M will be a challenge

Bama is Bama

Lol at all of these rantards thinking Tennessee is going to suck.

What are some of your guy's thoughts about week 1?

What I saw on the field has me very worried, that was some bad football. Given that it mostly the same players from last year I hope it was a fluke, big heads, or whatever but that was not good.

We will get it corrected. Honestly, I think App State was just a bad matchup for us

I don't think we can judge too much how other teams will be if we are saying our first game was a fluke. UGA will be good and UF will, of course, be good this year like always. If nothing else they will be good against us. I thought A&M looked solid and they have some nice pieces.

Our guys were extremely lucky to win that game. I think it is best to just move on and fix problems and be happy for the win. I really hope to see better line play both ways and some semblance of an intermediate passing game because it is there.

I think we will see a totally different team this week. If they look just as shitty, then it could be a painful year.

Edit: What I am saying is that I am preparing myself to melt and turn on this team, just not there yet and certainly not after a win.

The season is the same as it ever was. UGA is what I thought they'd be - solid but they have exploitable vulnerabilities. Florida still has offensive problems but also still has a good defense. And Bama is Bama. TAMU is hard to judge but their D looked a tad bit improved against the run.

The OL was 99 percent of the problem Thursday night and really when your center is either hurt or just playing badly your entire line is going to look like crap. CT is responsible for not only his play but setting the entire line. We absolutely have to get that fixed and I think we will.

EDIT: We also need to get Tuttle back for SEC play. Having him really improves the defense against the run and that's of particular importance against UGA and Bama.

4 fumbles, 1 int, drive killing penalties, poor blocking.
Clean up the fumbles and penalties and that alone makes things much better.

Keep O on the field and D off the field, even for an extra 5 minutes makes a huge difference.

One thing I have noticed is that our offense all last year and so far this year, uses momentum style of play. They have to get into a rhythm. Break that rhythm and they struggle.

The D will get better and be fine.

The O has work to do but with improvement each game they'll get there.

This was my thought process. It was really disappointing, but I still expect this team to win the east.

I'd also add that it's impossible to go vanilla with Dobbs and expect good results. He's not a game manager and never will be. He's a playmaker and he doesn't respond well when he's handcuffed. When you let him be him both his passing and running improve and the entire team feeds off of that.

Agree. Dobbs game is only effective when he runs the ball and forces the defense to account for him

Here is the truth about the offense...we aren't good enough to play things "close to the vest". 2016 Appy State equals 2015 North Texas. When we try to save or hide things for later games, we struggle. Dobbs is what he is...when he has more designed runs, the defense changes, making it easier for the line and it opens things up for Hurd.
