I can see it as a caused fumble, but I kinda feel like if you are extending the ball like that, you lose the right to call it caused by defense... But not sure of the rule, so I am guessing.

Does the under 2 minute rule carry over to OT though? I'm honestly not sure, the only aspect the announcers discussed when it happened was that because it wasn't fumbled on 4th down it was okay for Hurd to recover it.

It was definitely a convenient place to fumble the ball, Dobbs knew at that point he wasn't gonna get in. That call could have gone either way after seeing that clip.

Yeah I understand where you could say the defensive player cause it, but Dobbs was extending well before the hit.

I don't know, it could have gone either way I think.
