"I'd say South Carolina's program is in turmoil. They will be an easy target or cupcake game moving forward most likely. They do have long-term potential, though," said Troderman.
"I think Vanderbilt wins, and see my comments on South Carolina are the reasoning," said Stephenson. "I just don't think South Carolina is very good; Vandy would have to beat themselves in order to lose this game. I'll go with a final score of 24-7."
"Vandy wins 20-10. Usually you wouldn't see Vandy has the talent advantage in an SEC mathcup, but when it comes to this one, we are more experienced, more talented, and in my opinion, better coached," said Troderman.

Can't believe Vandy media is putting themselves out on a limb like that. First time I can ever remember them doing that - they've evidently drank the koolaid all the other pundits drank.
I have no idea how this game is going to go. Not a clue. It's all going to come down to how we play in the trenches, stopping their running game and getting pressure on their QB. Same old same old.
And we're going to have to protect our QB and establish a running game. We're going to have to isolate their LBs and keep them from making plays somehow. We can do that with our TEs - let's hope we do.
The game is so simple, it just about always comes-down to the same things.
I hope we have superior special teams because it may come down to that.

They have unknowns, we have unknowns. We sucked last year and still beat them. We have technically had much better recruiting classes than them. They have had the same coaches for a few years though and more time in their systems.
They can speculate, we can speculate and then tomorrow the truth comes out.

Yep I don't really see much that puts either program above the other where we can say "this team should win", etc. They do have the better defense however.
Under Mason Vanderbilt has gone 7-17 over the previous 2 seasons. They only beat one team that had a winning season in that time, in 7-6 Middle Tennessee State. That was also the only team they beat that played in a bowl game. And with a new QB and mostly new OL, this is still a rebuilding season for them just as it is for us....
I think the Vandy "media" is not the most objective here: they talk about Muschamp's questions as a head coach, but the man is 28-21 overall and 17-15 in the SEC, while Mason is 7-17 and 2-14. Yet they speak in glowing terms of the direction of the Vandy program moving forward under Mason. The Troderman troll in the OP is a Vanderbilt student that does a sports podcast, and the Stephenson dude is a rep of the SB Nation's Vanderbilt site named Anchor of Gold: they are anything but an objective Vandy "media" representative. I wonder what the actual sports "media" that work for the legit Nashville media thinks about the game...

I like it.
That's almost up there with Webb pretty much guaranteeing a win against us.

Stupid little journalism majors at vandy stirring the pot. And trying to use their science majors to predict wins. Nerddddddd.

Every vandy student was in the A/V club in high school. It's a passive hobby.
