Your rights don't extend to your privilege of being on a football team.

Since when do players sign their rights away in order to try to better themselives with a college education and in some cases a shot at playing in the NFL?

Because you don't have the RIGHT to play in the NFL or even college football for that matter. Your rights are only protected against governmental restriction. The NCAA is not a government entity, so they can have whatever rules they want (with certain governmental restrictions on them, of course). The football team is not a government entity, even if the school is by some nature due to how it is funded and administrated. Suggesting that the coach of an NCAA football team is infringing on someone's rights (any of them, not just right to bear arms) as defined by the BoR shows a blatant misunderstanding of how that document works.
