My message was more directed to the person who started this thread. The OP of this thread claims that Georgia could compete for an SEC title this year. I personally feel that is an unrealistic prediction. And honestly I dont have any desire to go read a Georgia board.

well, I guess it all hinges on how each person defines "compete".

If we win the east and play in the SECCG, I'd say we have adequately "competed" for the SEC. And honestly, it's not unrealstic at all to say we can win the east. Heck, UF did it last year under a new staff and they were coming off a worse situation than we are. Our east hopes are going to be much clearer after the 2 game stretch of Ole Miss/UT. If we're 1-1 after that, or heaven help us 2-0, we're in ok shape.

It's not liek the guy said we're on the road to the playoffs.

It depends on what your definition of "compete for the SEC title" is. If it is come close to winning our division? yes. IF Eason were to come on and have a good season, we could push Tennessee for the division title. If it is play for the SEC Championship? no. We certainly don't expect that. In fact, I think, even with Eason playing we are expecting it to be:

1 Tennessee
2 Florida
3 Georgia
