I'm certainly not arguing for extremely relaxed voter ID laws, its incredibly easy to get one now and in states that they are free to get it is even easier. I agree with most of what you said in that quote, there really shouldn't be much of an excuse in most situations for not having one but people don't and those who don't predominantly vote Democrat.
