Does that not award him the ability to understand that voter fraud isn't a serious national issue?

Even if you believe that (which I don't)- neither is the theft of library books but you need an ID and library card to get one. Do you honestly believe that the left would spend a fortune in challenging voter registration laws if it was irrelevant?

Lemmee see.....millions of illegal immigrants and refugees....dems promise them govt benefits......id registration laws could keep them from voting....hmmmm. If only I had any capacity for critical thinking I'm sure I could come up with a connection.

Don't buy everything John Stewart tells you.

What you're talking about are two very separate issues. Voter fraud contributes almost nothing on a national scale. It doesn't move the needle in a presidential election one way or the other.

Now if you want to talk long term plans of democrats enfranchising mass amounts of demographics through amnesty, immigration, etc... then I'm with you. That's 100% a political ploy to develop a quick mass of voters immediately. But that doesn't really have to do with a lot of the voter fraud instances that are regularly discussed.
