Both are obviously fantastic coaches, probably the top two of all time.
But IMO they can be differentiated as follows:
Bear Bryant was a great coach who was an even better builder of men.
Nick Saban is a great builder of men who is an even better football coach.
Effect on his players? Bryant > Saban
Effect on the field? Saban > Bryant
