whole thing is shady as frick. if smith was attached to kirby why not leave in january? why blow an entire summers worth of workouts just to leave? why did he screw his team over in August? It's not like he was not getting playing time - would have seen plenty of snaps. woudlnt doubt if there was some back room shite going on with Kirby talking to him.

He didn't graduate until last week. Thus, he wasn't eligible to transfer under the grad rule until last week.

I haven't really followed this thing closely, but when did he first ask saban to leave?
