Others were getting more reps and practice time. Dont know why yall cant see that there is a difference in practice vs. playing time. Especially considering Smith hasnt received playing time of any significance in CFB. There were 3 LBs getting more practice time. Sorry but Patrick is already banged up and not practicing and Smith hasnt played a down.

You UGA fans are annoying as frick. You dont lose a senior player and it not hurt when a redshirt freshman is someone the coach is relying on to back him up. But dont let my comments get in the way of hope springs eternal where freshmen are always better than the seniors at UGA.

Georgia senior linebacker Tim Kimbrough said Thursday he will transfer to a Division II school after being forced off the team by coach Kirby Smart.

"Coach told me he was going to kick me off the team or I had to transfer," Kimbrough told The Associated Press in a phone interview. He said Smart's edict came after Kimbrough left practice on Tuesday.

Kimbrough did not say why he left practice, though he said, "I'm not injured."

Remind why a tech fan is on this site again??

Kimbrough was mad because he wasn't getting practice time, and that was going to directly hurt his playing time. From his own Twitter:

“I didn’t have a choice to stay at Georgia,” Kimbrough tweeted, adding in another message: “I have to go to a D2 school so I can play this year. I’m not sitting out this year.”

Sounds like a mad little boy.

Smith isn't a redshirt freshman - he played in 12 games in 2015. Both he and Patrick played a lot in the bowl game due to Kimbrough's suspension. Next time do a little research.

I liked watching Kimbrough, but it sounds like he felt a bit entitled to having a starting spot rather than earning it.

The difference is that practice time occurs in practice and playing time occurs in games.

The two are heavily correlated.
