I just happened to go on the WV 2017 recruiting board and noticed that they are just one spot in ranking ahead of Mizzou for the 2017 class. The thing that stood out to me was the 4 star receiver that they got a commitment from and he reminds me of Jeff Thomas and Jeremy Macklin a former Zou favorite. And then I looked at 4* Daron Davis and Jafar Armstrong and I noticed the difference in the atletic abilities of WV best recruit and our top 2 wr recruits.(Not knocking our recruits, but just pointing out that we need a few of the Jeff Thomas types a year)

Mike Harley(WV 4* wr 2017) he's a little light in the pocket, but darn those pass routes are J. Thomas like

WV class average star rating is 2.69

MU's is 3.0.

Who's class is better? The one with more lower rated players in it? I don't think so.

I do agree that Thomas is a player that MU needs to land.

I'll take Davis over this kid for sure.

Both Armstrong and Davis stand better chances of blocking their position than a 150 LB WR.

FWIW, I think Thomas is a little light himself.

I really wasn't comparing Mizzou with WV in star ranking, but it was more about how well Mizzou's offense is when we have at least 2 skilled players on offense that have that wiggle or they are hard to cover or get to because of their athleticism.(Macklin, Murphy, Josey and DA) regardless of their star ratings coming out of high school. Maybe J Johnson, Black and possibly Wingo can be sort of those guys.

Maclin and Alexander were 65%+ catch rate guys. Those kind of ball skills weren't displayed last year. Leftwich and Moore were the worst pair of outside WRs GPs staff put on the field in 16 years. If Moore's hands aren't better he will lose reps to Dilosa, who I think will blossom in Hill's room.

Umm...We need Jeff Thomas because WV recruited a 150lb WR??? How about we need Jeff Thomas because he's a great compliment in the slot with our tall Wr's on the edges? I'm just not ready to be comparing recruits with freakin West Virginia, who gives a sh*t? As far as I'm concerned they took our sloppy seconds (the big 12), and they don't compare to us in any way, shape or form.

Mizzou-27 3 tooths-9 and yes, we will land Thomas. The following is the only good thing in West Virginia and she attends Marshall

The only thing worthwhile in WV

Dude, sounds like you have been constipated for a week a woke up a little too grumpy!

Again, I was just comparing the type of player to former Mizzou players and Jeff Thomas who we really need. Try some extra fiber and it will get those bowels flowing again!

I'm hoping Hill's move back to WR will have some impact this year. The WRs went down hill once they moved Andy to QB. Put him back with these young receivers, and we should see improved play. If not, we're screwed.
