Agreed. Seems to be a HUGE % for something that is just as political a position as a testament to academic success.

Also - what defines the "world's top companies"?

Kind why this list is high subjective. more so than others. And its highly limited to the amount of research put into it on the other categories, like publications, citations, research journals, etc..

Also, it doesn't differentiate in terms of career. For instance, do you think Mizzou is eager to claim Ken Lay by name? I'm sure they're happy to have him in the non-itemized stats, but they're not rushing to add his mug to their promotional materials.
