Just came across this and hate to see it. Seems this has become a big event annually and hope it continues, especially for the students.

Rapper Flo Rida, best known for his 2008 hit "Low," will headline Oct. 7's Bulldog Bash, the Mississippi State University Student Association announced Friday. Flo Rida, born Tramar Dillard, was nominated for numerous awards for the song, which featured rapper T-Pain. His album "R.O.O.T.S" was nominated for a Grammy, and Flo Rida himself earned top rap artist and two top rap song nominations at the 2013 Billboard Music Awards.
MSUSA President Roxanne Raven said her organization is excited to bring Flo Rida to Starkville. "We aim to appeal to as many students as possible and expose them to the best artists available, and we have definitely achieved that with Flo Rida," she said. "We hope everyone comes out to the Cotton District for this amazing event." Sharing the stage with Flo Rida will be Jackson-native Clayton Waller and his band, Rock Eupora, and New Orleans-based hip-hop artist Pell.

Not the best, but far better than that hipster garbage from last year. Now we can attend the bash without masses of people with skinny jeans and chinstraps

I will take hipster garbage over rap any day of the week. We should try really hard to get more Black Crowes/Third Eye type bands.
