But when bama claims obscure titles they usually have some silly poll that ranked them #1.
If im reading twitter right Kentucky's justification is the sagarin rating. A rating that didnt exist until 40 years after the 1950 season.

Their justification is via a modern interpretation of national titles ("beat the #1 team in a bowl").
