Which should scare the shite out of you. So far we've seen a guy that either can't or won't throw the deep ball and he looks scared to death. He lost his only start last year. Yeah, he looks good short to intermediate but that alone won't cut it. His apparent lack of confidence scares me.

Bateman looked very Spencer Pennington-esque in limited duty last year. My vote is a solid hell no.

I say roll with one of the freshman. Slim chance they get ruined with our weapons & OL. Much slimmer chance than Bateman shitting himself due to lack of confidence.

Don't give me this "But he was 4 star" shite either. Marc Guillon was a 4 star too and he couldn't wipe his own arse.

Why?

Since AJ graduated, an athlete that bounced around positions led Bama to a SEC title and playoff berth. Then in 2015 the guy who couldn't beat that athlete and looked lost and indecisive in 2014 led Bama to a national title.

Here's a news flash. Brandon Avalos ain't walking through that door. Every QB on the roster is a 4* or better and would probably start for any team in the west except Ole Miss. If the staff (who should have earned the benefit of the doubt by now) decides the guy that is so fast he was tried at WR to get the ball in his hands and responsible/reliable enough to have been trusted with the holding job for two years is the guy to lead the offense then I ain't worried one bit and you shouldn't be either.
