Some interesting stuff here. Both programs were in the early stages of their 80s hey day. Pat Dye vs. Jimmy Johnson. Both teams ran a 5-2 defense (LOL!), and WRs (split-ends) lined up with a hand in the dirt.
I love this old shite! You can almost smell the cocaine & Natty lite fumes.

......and teams actually played pass defense. No back shoulder throws back then cause teams didn't play with their back to the ball. A db now with 3 picks is an all American. Back then 3 picks lost u your starting job. It wasn't uncommon to see guys with 3 picks in a game.
As good as sabans d' s have been there are only two of his guys in bamas all time interception list and they are like 8th and 14th.

We all know who won right
Kickoff Classic at Giants Stadium brings back memories as a kid watching football to start the year
Favorite one was 1999 against the Suckeyes when the U returned for the second time on the national scene and Santana Moss played like man beast
