Uh, South Carolina finished #4 in 2013 (when Mizzou won it at 12-2)...but everybody said "the east was down"

Who cares if Florida finished in the top 5? They was down !

Plus, who cares how many SEC titles Tennessee won before 1992. There were only 6 conference games back then. Vols could go 4-1-1 and win the SEC, but since Johnny "TIE" Majors was their coach, they often went 3-0-3.

Not our problem, we beat them. When teams like Mizzou and SC are really good, the perception is that the traditional powers are down. So you'll need to change that perspective by firmly establishing yourself as a powerhouse over multiple decades. Good Luck with that!
