I didn't read the entire thread and I am not sure if you spam the board on this issue, but first, I want to say I wouldn't consider basketball a "0.5". If you are talking about the NCAA as a whole, look at schools like Kentucky, North Carolina, Duke, Kansas... The list goes on. Basketball is king at those schools.

Look at schools like Gonzaga, Marquette, St John's, Seton Hall, etc. These teams do not have a football program and since basketball is big at these schools, it is their main sport so I think you underestimate basketball.

As for as college baseball, at most schools baseball isn't popular. At LSU and throughout the SEC the popularity might rival the popularity of some minor league programs.

Look at the attendance numbers. Nine teams in 2015 averaged 4000+ people per game, six of those nine teams are in the SEC.

The attendance for softball is much lower than baseball, but it is viewed more than baseball. I am not that big of a baseball fan, I pull for LSU, I follow it during the season, but don't really watch them until post season, but I do enjoy watching softball. Either way, as a whole I don't think baseball is hardly a "big 3" in college, however; there are a few schools that can argue that it is at their university, LSU being one.

I don't think anyone is arguing that baseball is Big 3 nationwide. Just in the SEC, and for a big majority of the schools in the SEC it is.

I'd view women's basketball as Big 3 nationwide.

Look at Women's basketball numbers. Twenty-Five teams in 2016 averaged 4000+ people per game, five of those teams are in the SEC (MIZZOU missed it by 10 people per game). So, it shows you how much stronger the following is for baseball in the SEC than in the rest of the country. Everybody else follows Women's basketball more...in the SEC, they are very close to the same.
