I would think that no charges were filed for a couple of reasons:

1 - the DA knew he couldn't win the case
2 - the DA's track record is that he is very light on non-violent crimes, so by not filing here he is being consistent with his 26+ year history in his current role in that location

there is a difference in being "light" on non-violent crime and not any enforcement. I really expected some plea bargaining to lesser stuff and they walk anyway. But to say a bag of dope and a stolen gun warranted no charges is a complete pile of crap. If that had been me I would still be in prison...

Where someone went to school means nothing, considering the majority of bama fans never finished high school. this is not relevant.
