The fact he hadn't set his putter down, means it's less likely his actions caused the ball to move.
As to the ruling after the round....who the frick knows. Probably so they can keep people watching longer and they get to control the situation.

If DJ wins, it's fitting that he did so by overcoming rulemonger controversy. After what happened with bunker deal at PGA years ago.

I think it should be like the NFL. If you don't have conclusive evidence on replay, it's not a penalty. That was bullshite.
