Proven is more important than high level. If you've proven yourself at Wright State (where you are likely on even level talent wise with everyone you play), then you can win.

A coach who kills it in DII in football is still a good coach. Look at the Tressel transition at OSU. Seamless.

I get your point but think about this. Would you rather have someone who won at Wright State(or Alabama State) or from an SEC/ACC school. The choice is obvious. It's not that a guy can't come from a small school. It is just less likely he will be good. I want a proven winner at a high level than a proven winner at a low level. That's my opinion. If you don't agree on that then I guess we just won't agree.
