I know it's probably discriminatory, but I don't want a coach over the age of 50.

Me too. Baseball doesn't have as much scrutiny and pressure to win as football. You can legitimately expect a successful coach to lead the program for 20-30 years. But that's only going to happen if you hire someone younger. Plus, a younger, high profile hire can rejuvenate the fanbase.
