If he is academically ineligible to play at State, he will have to go JUCO correct? The SEC put new rules in place that I thought stated a kid couldn't transfer from one conference school to another if that kid wasn't eligible to play at the school he was transferring from right?

Not really saying its an option he's considering here. I'm more just curious if anyone can confirm my understanding of those rules. Like a Nick Marshall or Mettsiah or Cam transfer from School A in the SEC to Schol B in the SEC could not occur anymore, even if it included a stop at JUCO/CC in between.

I think that's correct, but you are talking about from SEC to SEC team. he'll probably go to Western Kentucky or somewhere smaller where he won't have to sit.

If he goes JUCO he won't be eligible there either because of their draft rules. Since he declared, he's ineligible per NJCAA rules (they're different then the NCAA rule that allows you to come back).
