Yes. And they care more about it than most schools. The capacity for the stadium is still less than 4000 and had only 3400 for the second game this weekend.

Here's the latest attendance figures I could find. Alabama and Arizona are the only two schools that averaged over 2k per game. Only 10 other schools averaged over 1k per game. So only 12 schools averaged more than 1k. 5 of those 12 schools were in the SEC.

That's probably more than the Braves are drawing.

Thanks for info pvilleguru. Rhodes stadium is right at 3,400 actual seats, but with the outfield grassy areas 3,900 total are allowed in. They've increased it's capacity three times since constructed in 2000. Women's sports have a tough time usually with crowds, the exceptions are almost always with a team that wins consistently, whether Tennessee in women's basketball, or Bama/Georgia in women's gymnastics. Bama women's gymnastics often leads the nation in home attendance of over 11k average, several times over 13k, outdrawing men's basketball!
