so your premise is everybody who did not vote for Scott in primary was racist?

i forgot he ran unapposed.

but if he had been opposed, he would have still won with a lot of white voters.

Where did you get that impression?

And my apologies, I was reading up on his House of Reps elections.

Scott was appointed, not elected to the Senate

So he got the advantage of running as an incumbent before ever winning the office

He didn't run unopposed for the Senate. He was appointed, not originally elected, by the governor because he was a minority:
