He won 53 percent of the vote in a run-off against Paul Thurmond, because he did not win the majority in the open primary.
He ran unopposed in the Republican party in 2012. Did you just make up your 90+% fact?

so your premise is everybody who did not vote for Scott in primary was racist?
i forgot he ran unapposed.
but if he had been opposed, he would have still won with a lot of white voters.
