he won't win it, nor am I saying he should, but this may arguably be Mainieri's best coaching job since he's been in Baton Rouge. LSu replaced 8 position players and had it's ace, Alex Lange, as well as Poche struggle for huge chunks of the year, and LSU was still somehow able to put things together and put themselves in position to play for a national seed in the SECT and have all but guaranteed a host site for a regional. Remember, they also started 2-6 in the league and closed out with a record of 17-5.
