i'm sure situations like this is always brought up by coaches at any level of college athletics. being a former college athlete, I can tell you without question you have at least one meeting every semester from the athletic department's ncaa regulations and ethics team along with a speech from your coach on how to stay out of trouble off the field that could damage you and the university.

I suspect he did. It's pretty obvious you're either not a parent , or a pretty shitty one if you don't realize that most kids don't always heed adult suggestions...until it bites them in the arse.
